The future of our cities depends on our ability to master the art of the livable street. The more we have focused our attention on cities as places to accomodate cars, the more cars we have attracted. If we start to focus on cities as places for people and bikes, we will end up with more people and bikes and fewer cars. Others have done it and we can too–check out Copenhagen if you need inspiration.

When we read this short piece by Streetsblog editor, Aaron Naparstek, we were reminded of the upcoming ULI MN “Complete Streets” program on February 11. Complete streets are essential to our diverse communities, and how they work.
